Telling yourself that you’re not even just a little nervous before a job interview… is just a lie! We all get nervous, don’t judge yourself! However, the key to suppressing those nerves and making sure that you nail the interview for the job of your dreams, can be as simple as following a few little tips.

1. Read the job description
Honestly, vital piece of information here people! The majority of the question that you will be asked will be based on the information previously supplied to you in the job description! The more that you can align yourself with these details, the more qualified the employer will be able to see that you are.

2. Know why you are applying
Knowing how qualified, experienced and enthusiastic you are about this job is a great place to start (‘and you can bet your money that you’ll be asked). Having this knowledge at the back of your mind whilst answering other questions will also help to give you more merit and confidence in your approach.

3. Research the company
Why do you want to work for the company you are applying with? What do they stand for that you agree with? What information can you find about them that makes you excited to go on this journey?

Seeking this information up front will also help you to ask thoughtful and intelligent questions of your interviewers (tick) about the role, company culture and their products and services.

4. Remain calm
Even if your nerves creep up and rear their ugly little heads mid-interview, remember that everyone feels like this at some point in their life. So long as you remain calm, breathe through it and continue to answer the questions asked of you intelligently a few little nerves shouldn’t lose you any points.

5. Enjoy it
