Well I did it! I made the leap of faith to start my own business because you know what? I was happy where I was, but I wanted more. Nothing was wrong and everything was OK but I had stagnated professionally.  I decided that I had to make a change and make it happen.  Appoint Recruitment is the result. Now I help other people make the same leap to whatever greatness they want to achieve. It’s going to be an exciting ride! Who’s in?

Take the Leap!

Basically, you’ve got two options.  You can plod along, accept this is all there is, or you can grab the bull by the horns and charge ahead. It’s scary, I know that for sure. But it’s never going to get easier to make that decision. Regardless of if you are considering a new job or enhancing your current business there is no time like the present.  Imagine where you or your business could be if you take a deep breath, stretch out your legs then jump!

Persistence!

Did you know that Colonel Sanders’ fried chicken recipe was rejected more than a thousand times before one restaurant finally took it on? Famous car fella Henry Ford went broke five times before discovering his business nirvana with the Ford Motor Company. Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard and his first business failed. What they all had in common was persistence and an unwillingness to accept mediocrity.

The Pay Off!

Who knows where your leap of faith can take you?  Did you know Vera Wang was a competitive figure skater who missed a spot on the 1968 U.S. Olympic team, failed at a magazine career and ultimately became one of the world’s most famous bridal fashion designers?  Mark Zuckerberg said: “In a world that’s changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.”

“If nothing changes, everything stays the same.”

Kind of sounds like a riddle, doesn’t it? Let’s put it another way:

“If I make a change, everything can be different.”

Cool, right?
